I love the energy of new growth and renewal as the days warm up, the grass turns greener, and colorful flowers prepare to bloom here in Colorado. 🌼🌱🌺

Something has really started to stir in me this week, and it is feeling good.

The rivers are beginning to melt into a swift untamed flow, mirroring our inner expression of passion and freedom, and the bright green of the mountainsides will soon be soothing our souls and invigorating our life force.

🌿🌷 Every part of our beings awakens with new life around us and within us.

I found myself buying multiple bouquets of tulips this week. 💐🌷🌸  One of my favorite ways to brighten up our house with spring energy and color. (so please excuse the bountiful flower emojis!)

What is your favorite way to welcome spring? 🌼

As we embrace the emergence of vibrant hues of spring, let's dive into the transformative journey of returning to our inner wholeness with this week's incredible SATIATE guest, Ruthie Lindsey.

Ruthie not only shares her love for flowers (and how they were an integral aspect of her healing)🌻💖 but also her belief that love is always inviting us back home to ourselves, our bodies, and our lives.

Ruthie Lindsey is a writer, speaker, and midwife of souls, helping people feel endeared to their own life, body, and spirit. She is the author of the memoir, There I Am: The Journey From Hopelessness To Healing.

When I met Ruthie on retreat late last year, we became instant kindred spirits. She is a bright light on this earth and is someone who has taken her incredible pain and suffering and turned it into pure gold. ✨💫

I know you will love her and this brand-new SATIATE episode.

LISTEN AND HEAR:

  • The short version of Ruthie's story (you can read the long version in her best-selling memoir), one that made her the only person in the world to date to discover that the wire holding her neck together (after her teenage car accident reparative surgery) was piercing her brain stem.

  • The journey through pain, addictive pain medication, divorce, binge eating, grief, and eventually recovery, healing, and a career in coaching that has changed her life and the lives of so many people.

  • The baby steps that got her out of seven years in bed and off of multiple pain medications that is not just about the magic of optimism, but the work of it, urging us to unlearn our stories of brokenness that we tell ourselves so we can embrace the wholeness, joy, and healing that lives inside all of us.

  • How she works with her ongoing pain and her coaching clients now, empowering others to find purpose in their pain and to look for beauty in the midst of their brokenness.

MEET RUTHIE:

Meet RUTHIE LINDSEY:

Ruthie Lindsey is the author of the memoir There I Am, The Journey From Hopelessness To Healing, A Nashville-based speaker and coach. She helps people become endeared to their own life, soul and body.

Ruthie shares a remarkable story of surviving an accident as a teenager where she died, and the surgery that simultaneously saved and destroyed her body. As a young woman, chronic pain slowly pulled Ruthie away from everything she once held dear: her marriage, her faith, her family, her body, her very self. But her message is one of strength and resilience, the faith she lost and rebuilt in herself, and the power of telling a new story through radical self love and compassion. Ruthie mirrors to audiences how good our bodies are and the liberation and healing that is inside of all of us. That every single part of us belongs here, especially the parts we have been taught are “bad”.
